Wagons as far as the eye can see. Is this heaven? No, it’s WagonFest!
Over 300 longroofs packed into the DirtFish parking lot yesterday in Snoqualmie, WA for WagonFest 2021. Dubbed as the largest station wagon gathering in the universe, it definitely did not disappoint.
There was something for everyone; Mercedes Estates, BMW Tourings, Audi Avants, Volvo Polestar wagons, Subaru Legacy GTs and a bunch of whacky stuff including a Ghostbusters-themed Subaru Outback, a harlequin-style VW Passat (on monblocks), a super clean LS-swapped AMC Pacer and a wild 1979 Toyota Corolla body mounted on top of a truck chassis.
Plenty of ‘forbidden fruit’ too including a stunning Mitsubishi Evo 9 wagon, a RHD Honda Accord wagon, a Mercedes-Benz W210 E55 AMG wagon and lots more!
The prize for the wagon that travelled the farthest to attend the show went to an old Mercedes Diesel estate that travelled from Los Angeles, CA. Not surprisingly, it had over 600,000 miles on it and counting.
All of the ticket proceeds from WagonFest 2021 went to Seattle Humane Society! Over $3,250 raised for our furry, four-legged friends.
Wagon owners are a little different than the typical car enthusiast. They will be the first to admit that they prefer the rare and unusual over the flashy and exotic. This common bond creates a very respectful community, which was evident among the attendees at WagonFest 2021. Lots of appreciation for different makes/models. Already looking forward to next year!
