Director, Avants Portland

We’re looking for go-getter to join the Avants team and expand our awesome community of gearheads.

You’ll be responsible for managing and growing the Portland market for Avants. This is a full time position that includes coordinating/managing events, networking with enthusiasts, developing partnerships with local businesses, marketing via social media channels, onboarding new members and more!

This is an exciting new position that will help solidify Avants as a leading national automotive lifestyle brand.

Tasks / Responsibilities

  • Events

    • Develop calendar of events (tech sessions, track days, private collection tours, etc)

    • Day-of event management (typically weekends)

  • Sales / Marketing

    • Build Avants into the premium automotive membership program for Portland area enthusiasts

    • Articulate the benefits of the programs to potential members

    • Represent Avants at various automotive-related events

    • Create, schedule and post events via all marketing channels (email, website and social media)

  • Business Development

    • Build Avants Portland Partner Network by developing successful relationships with local businesses (repair shops, dealerships, etc)

  • Community Management

    • Onboard new members (post introductions on social media, send welcome packages, etc)

  • Magazine

    • Coordinate with local writers and photographers on articles for the Avants quarterly magazine

Skills / Qualifications

  • Event Management – organized, attention to detail, willingness to work weekends/evenings, etc

  • Personable – ability to speak/connect with all different kinds of car enthusiasts

  • Flexible / Agile – ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills

  • Creative Design - Follow Avants brand guidelines regarding copy, logo, images, etc.

  • Eager to take on more responsibility

  • Proactive problem solver

  • Technical Skills

    • Social media (Facebook, Instagram)

    • Photography and editing (e.g. Adobe Photoshop)

    • Email (e.g. Mailchimp)

    • Website – familiar with content management solutions

Experience

  • 5+ years in marketing/sales/project management or related field
